Alina Buchschacher, Miss Bern, was crowned Miss Switzerland 2012/ Miss Schweiz 2012 in an event held in the city of Lugano on September 23, 2011. The International Business student Alina is 20 year old and stands 1.71 m and and enjoys horseback riding. Her mom is from Trinidad & Tobago, and her father is Swiss.

She will represent her country in Miss Universe 2012. The 1st runner-up was Julia Flückiger, and the 2nd runner-up was Ashley Balmer.
